NCNPC
making plans for May 16-17 conference
The North Carolina Newspaper Production
Conference is scheduled for May 16-17, 2008 at the Sheraton
Imperial Hotel at Research Triangle Park, NC. The conference,
now in its fifty-fifth year, has become one of the leading
professional development conferences of its kind.
The Production Conference is geared toward
the professional development of those in the newspaper
production industry. Anyone in advertising design, pre-press,
press, or post-press (distribution) areas of newspaper
production can benefit from the sessions and speakers brought in
by the conference. The Conference continues to focus on
industry trends, new technologies, and helps participants find
ways to improve quality in their daily work.
Although the meeting is called the North
Carolina Newspaper Production Conference, newspapers from South
Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama and Tennessee have been
regular participants and are encouraged to attend.
And there’s also time for relaxation. The
Conference kicks off with the annual golf outing on Friday
morning, May 16. This year's golfing returns to Crooked
Creek Golf Club in Fuquay-Varina, south of Raleigh.
A very popular alternative Friday activity
debuted last year and will return this year - our fishing tournament!
This year's tournament will be held on Harris Lake, south of
Raleigh. Boats, tackle, bait & refreshments are provided, but
those fishing must have a NC Fishing License to participate.
Here's a link to get your NC Fishing License:

Note that space is limited and
pre-registration is required for golf and fishing.
The conference is a great value as well, at
only $25.00 per person registration,
the NCNPC is a great way to keep up with others in the industry
and enjoy a great weekend.
New volume discounts are available this
year as well, including "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" and "$100 Unlimited
Attendance Per Newspaper".
Golf is an additional $15 per participant, and fishing is an
additional $25 per participant. There are no volume discounts
for golf or fishing.
